<p>Or, it might be over the course of several workouts and be scheduled as follows:</p>
<p>Day 1: 45 minute run.</p>
<p>Day 2: 30 minutes of weight lifting and 30 minutes of core work.</p>
<p>Day 3: 35 minutes using an exercise bike and 25 minutes stretching.</p>
<p>Day 4: 35 minutes using a rower concluding with 30 minutes stretching.</p>
<p>4 Benefits of Cross Training</p>
<p>1. Get some variety in your workouts. Doing the same workout over and over gets stale.</p>
<p>2. Getting in peak shape and being a peak performer is more likely if you do cross training so you condition your entire body &#8211; all muscles and systems. Cross training does this.</p>

<p> A good series should always concern more than just one muscle group, and for each muscle at least two exercises per series.</p>
<p>2.  Feeding the muscle</p>
<p> If your goal is muscle building, you should do at least 8 repetitions per series, but use larger weights. You can do them in the classic way, meaning you make a series, you rest for about 60 seconds, and then make a new series and so on until you&#8217;ve done your sets and are ready for the next exercise.</p>
<p> If you have more experience, you can try the supersets.  In this case, you are allowed to use two muscular groups per set of exercises.  People usually use a starting exercise that needs to put in function more than two muscles, and then continue with one that only targets one muscle type.
